How Many Balloons Do You Need For An Organic Balloon Arch?

A balloon arch is a great way to add some pizzazz to any party or event. They are fairly easy to build, and you can make them as simple or as elaborate as you like. The most important thing to consider when setting up an organic balloon arch is how many balloons you will need. In this blog post, we will give you some tips on how to calculate the number of balloons you need for an organic balloon arch.

How To Calculate The Number Of Balloons You Need For An Organic Balloon Arch

The first thing you need to do is decide on the size of the balloon arch you want to create.

Length - You may want to make a small organic garland that is only around 3m in length, or you may want to create a display that is over 9m in length.

Width - Then you need to decide how chunky you would like the design to be, with larger 2ft and 3ft balloons integrated into the display.

Once you have the length and diameter worked out, usually around 26 balloons per metre (all different sizes) will make a good organic garland base.

Then once you have the organic garland base put together, it depends how many small extra balloons you would like to add on top. This can be anything from 6 balloons per metre to an extra 24 balloons per metre - which would then give you a grand total of 50 balloons per metre. So if you design the display 8m long, then you could be using 400 balloons to make a high end complicated installation.

There are also many different sizes of balloons to choose from, to actually inflate. From using small 5" balloons - that can be inflated from 1" to 3" diameter, 11" balloons, 16" balloons, 24" balloons, up to 36" balloons. The trick is to use a complete mix of different sizes; and then inflate each set of sizes all different sizes again. Practise makes perfect!

We hope that this blog post has given you some helpful tips on how to calculate the number of balloons needed for your organic balloon arch. Remember to have fun and be creative!
